Things to keep in mind when considering what to eat if you are fighting a yeast infection:
- Eliminate refined sugar from your diet until your infection is cured as it feeds the yeast in your body.
- Cut down drastically in the amount of fruit and fruit juices you consume due to their high sugar content. This doesn't apply to lemon, limes and grapefruit which are low in sugar.
- Foods containing yeast should not be consumed including bread, pastries and alcohol.
- Reduce the amount of meat and dairy in your diet as they products create an acidic environment in your body which is paradise for yeast.
- Eat as many green vegetables as you can manage, especially in their raw form.
